Madeline Stevens is an environmental educator with a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana. With years of hands-on experience working outdoors, Madeline has developed a deep passion for exploring the emotional and spiritual connections between humans and nature. When she’s not teaching outside, she enjoys cooking, sewing, and crocheting. Outdoors, Madeline can often be found trail running, biking, paddleboarding, or skiing—all with her dog, Luna.

The density of the water holds me afloat with no need to paddle. I stretch out and float on my back and the sounds around me become distorted by water. Staring at the sky, I take a few deep breaths and then close my eyes. I allow myself to float there for a moment, thankful for the chance to experience this place.
