Joanne Rosenbaum

Joanne Rosenbaum, has transitioned from her profession as a physician assistant and health care administrator to farming at a local CSA and a being member of Transition Town Media (TTM). Through farming and the various TTM projects she has worked on she has been able to support local food, her community and in a small way take care of Mother Earth. She serves on the Delaware County Sustainability Plan subcommittee for Health and Wellness and is working to organize a food composting program for her township.

The Transition Town movement has given me hope where I could not find any before. I’m referring to a network of grassroots community groups that aim to increase self-sufficiency, resilience and localization to reduce the effects of climate/environment destruction and economic instability.
