George Lakey recently retired from Swarthmore College, where he was Eugene M. Lang Visiting Professor for Issues of Social Change. He was first arrested in a civil rights demonstration in March 1963 and most recently in January, 2020 with Jane Fonda in her climate justice action at the U.S. Capitol.
