Dr. David Bedow began writing when he lost his daughter to suicide in October 2024. He has been an amateur painter and a member of Art of the Lakes art coop in Battle Lake, MN for over 10 years. So when he was forced to confront great loss, he turned to art as part of the path to heal and added writing to his artistic expression. He focused his writing on intersection of grief with spirituality, relationships, nature, and societal expectations. He has been practicing medicine in suburban Minnesota for almost 30 years and has woven what he has learned through his own grief into his medical practice. Dr. Beddow now seeks to share his thoughts and experiences with others in the hope it can benefit others the way others have helped him. He has poetry published on Griefdialogues.com online journal. He lives in suburban St. Paul with his wife Janet.
