Donald Wayne Viney

Donald Wayne Viney (b. 1953) is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Pittsburg State University (Kansas) where he taught courses in philosophy and world religions from 1984 until his retirement in 2022. Viney publishes mostly in the areas of the history of philosophy and the philosophy of religion with special interests in the works of Charles Hartshorne, Jules Lequyer, and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. His most recent book (co-authored with George W. Shields) is The Mind of Charles Hartshorne: A Critical Examination (Anoka, MN: Process Century Press, 2020). Viney lives in Pittsburg, Kansas with his wife, Maeve Cummings, a retired professor of Information Systems.
